Specifically recommended increasing fresh fruit and vegetable intake to at least 5 servings per day. Recommended high fiber cereals such as Kashi Go Lean, General Mills Fiber One, Kelloggs All Bran, or similar. Cereals usually much less expensive than fiber supplements.
