Result letter – anemia

[textarea fillable=true]Hemoglobin refers to your red blood cells. Red blood cells carry oxygen. Low hemoglobin is called anemia. Your result this week was ******. You had been ****** on ****** so
this ***is an increase/is a decrease/is stable***.

Anemia can be caused by bleeding and a common source of bleeding is the colon. It would be a good idea to evaluate if this is happening.

Anemia can also be caused by low vitamin and/or mineral levels. B12, folate, and iron are needed to make blood and if they are inadequate it can cause anemia or prevent it from improving.[/textarea]
