Fatty Liver Result

[textarea]The ultrasound of your liver showed droplets of fat within the liver. This is called 'fatty liver disease' or steatohepatitis.

Up to 30% or more of adults have steatohepatitis and it is becoming increasingly common.

It is usually associated with increased body weight. Weight loss of 10% or more can lead to improvement or resolution of steatohepatitis.

There is no medicine or treatment that's specifically effective for steatohepatitis but, as you may expect, medications that are used for diabetes and weight loss do sometimes help.[/textarea]
