After obtaining informed consent, the area was prepped and draped in the usual fashion. Anesthesia was obtained with 1% lidocaine with epinephrine. The superficial layers of the lesion were removed by shave biopsy. Hemostasis obtained with pressure and aluminum chloride. Wound care discussed. Specimen sent for dermatopathology."]
